Blue horizon's storied past
The Blue Horizon Hotel is one of Vancouver’s favourite landmarks. Built on a rise, it was the tallest building in Vancouver and its rooftop beacons guided planes in at night. The blue glass mosaic tiles are Italian made and with the white balconies, made the building a bright landmark of the city. The French-provincial restaurant on the 31st floor had a 360-degree view.
After many major renovations through the years, the last being winter of 2013, the Blue Horizon Hotel has become a modern-day hotel that has been the home away from home for many travellers.
The million dollar views today from the corner guest rooms on the high floors and banquet rooms are spectacular.
